Outside of Work
Outside of work, I spend most of my time playing guitar, woodworking, skiing, or just enjoying life around Milwaukee with my wife.
I’ve been playing guitar for nearly 20 years. I’m self-taught and have been playing in bands around Milwaukee since 2016. Right now, I’m in an original rock band called Good Grief that I started with a group of longtime friends. We also play classic rock and blues-based covers as a wedding band. Woodworking is another big part of my life. I grew up around it—my dad and grandfather are both carpenters—but I didn’t start building on my own until 2020. It’s one of the few things that lets me step away from the screen and make something real with my hands. It’s like Legos, but you’re building them from scratch. A few years ago I started designing pieces for the home, which eventually turned into a small DTC brand called Cream City Woodworks. So far, I’ve launched a mid-century modern plant stand and a modular shoe rack.
When winter hits, I’m usually out skiing. My parents got me and my brother into it when we were kids, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I took my first trip out west in college and have been lucky to keep that tradition going with a group of friends I met on that very first trip. Living in Wisconsin, you’ve got to find ways to enjoy the cold—might as well be on skis.
